Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine Jazmine, who is Philadelphia native is a native of Philadelphia, and was raised there. Pam the mother of Jazmine is a former backing singer of Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, of age, her dad landed a position as a curator at the city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the landmark historical building. In 2005 she was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts with a vocal music major. Sullivan performed as the contralto in the choir of children, then, a few more years later, she performed in the adults choir. His exposure to secular music was at first limited "I did solos in churches and a person wanted me to be a part of an evangelical label when I was eleven but I wasn't at the point of doing that," she recalls. In the following year, McDonald's held a contest with children from large cities. I had the opportunity to sing "Accept What God Allows" at it's Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. Stevie Wonder sang her part during his 13th birthday celebration. Sullivan was signed initially to Jive Records at the age fifteen. The label initially signed Sullivan to Jive Records at the age fifteen. She was the producer of an entire album, but the album did not see release. Sullivan was later eliminated by the label. She maintained a working relationship with Missy Elliott who wrote and recorded some of the songs from her debut, including the buzz single "Backstabbers" - produced by Timbaland and written by Elliott.
